We offer flexible study options that includes studying on campus, online learning or distance learning.

On campus learning delivers study materials and lectures in person at the Adelaide College of Divinity Campus, 34 Lipsett Terrace, Brooklyn Park SA 5032. Expect classrooms shared with other students and amazing lecturers.

Online learning delivers study materials and lectures via an internet connection, wherever you are. Expect access to online course resources, joining real-time classes via video teaching or listening to recordings of lectures delivered by the same amazing lecturers.

Distance learning students receive their study materials in print, via snail mail. This is particularly suitable to students who don’t have access to the internet and lives too far away to attend on-campus lectures.

If you would like to find out more about what your precise options are, please feel free to contact us. We would be happy to discuss the various options so that we can find one that suits you best.

Learning Pathways

Personal interest/spiritual growth

For those who want to gain deeper understanding of the Christian faith, or who would simply like to deepen their relationship with God and grow spiritually, we have some study options.

Intern Year is but one option to consider. Since we believe that lively and risky discipleship is a prerequisite for leadership, Intern Year promises to provide a life-changing experience for students between the ages of 18 and 25. During this year they will combine mission service, discipleship learning, spiritual formation and cross-cultural experiences along with a Certificate IV in Christian Life and Ministry.

Ministry of Pastor
If you wish to seek an appointment that encompass teaching, worship leading, pastoral care, and/or mission & evangelism, consider enrolling for the Certificate IV in Christian Life and Ministry. This qualification is the normal training vehicle for the Ministry of Pastor in South Australia, and an ‘umbrella’ study for lay appointments.

Ministry of the Word or Ministry of Deacon

If your future lies with either Ministry of the Word or Ministry of Deacon, your study course will be individually designed to focus on your passion, call and gifts together with an awareness of the needs and call of the church.

Candidates for Ministry Practice are engaged in ministry in congregations, faith communities or agencies chosen to match their particular passion and gifts. This is the heart of the course. People will be coached and supported as they integrate what they learn in ministry practice with Formation and Theological Study.
