Bart and his family moved from America to Adelaide in early 2023 for him to take up the role of Director of Biblical Studies at UCLT. He teaches a variety of Old Testament and New Testament classes from initial exploring to advanced interpretation, seeking to engage the biblical text in dialogue with our contemporary contexts. The focus of his research is the Gospel of Luke, exploring how it presents bodies, emotions, concepts, and arguments in a convincing portrayal of Jesus and his teaching. In his spare time, Bart enjoys playing trombone and baking bread for everyone to enjoy.
